Founded by a Master Goldsmith of decades-long experience, Fourth Son offers discerning individuals, brands and businesses the opportunity to collaborate on a bespoke work of art. 

We were given the opportunity to create a bespoke brand, from the early stages of name development and brand positioning, through to the creation of the look and feel and promotional assets.

We developed a collection of dynamic logos for Fourth Son, allowing for flexible usage of the mark on any application. The wordmarks are accompanied by a ‘maker’s mark’ inspired by the world of goldsmithing.

The Martlet mark is a heraldic symbol, traditionally denoting the fourth-born son, a timeless allegory of perseverance, the mythical martlet remained on the wing from birth until death, symbolising an ongoing quest for knowledge and a deep love of learning. 

Associated with the county of Sussex for centuries, the choice of the Martlet also reflects Fourth Son’s connections with the local community, and firmly roots them in the county’s beautiful countryside.

As part of the promotional side of the project, we created an expansive library of images as well as a case study video, further emphasising the tradition and craft that Fourth Son prides themselves on delivering to clients around the world.
